Influenced by the bard-style compositions of the Soviet era, the Pacifists fuse Eastern European melodies with pop hooks and evocative lyrics. They gained local acclaim for their offbeat renditions of everything from Rage Against the Machine to Phantom of the Opera to legends of Soviet punk. The members hail from the far reaches of Siberia, Ukraine, and New Jersey, and are currently based in NYC.
